Soldier Mountain offers 1150 acres of inbound terrain to satisfy skiers of all levels including Central Idaho's best and most plentiful powder (known to last up to month after a storm)! For those who prefer things a little tamer, come experience the Northwest's best grooming!

TERRAIN PARK
Our terrain park has features that cater to all levels of skiers/riders. The terrain park has two entrances from the top of Chair 2 and sits adjacent to the Air Ride run. The park includes a variety of features that change with differing conditions including a small barrelled flat rail, a ramp transition to a large single barrelled rainbow rail, a long 3.5 inch wide flat rail, and several small to medium rollers throughout. The park has been laid out so that riders may transition seamlessly between multiple features throughout the park or may stop between features while not hindering other riders. All riders should ride within their ability and no inverts are allowed in our terrain park. Be safe and have fun!

Experience a snowcat experience like no other in the spectacular Sawtooth National Forest. You can expect 15,000-20,000 vertical feet of deep powder and wide smiles in over 1500 acres of some of North America's best backcountry terrain!

FAMILY FRIENDLY WITH PLENTY OF SMILES
Soldier Mountain first opened in 1948 with a rope tow. Since then we have added two chairlifts (one in 1971 and one in 1974) and replaced our rope tow with a handle tow on our beginner slope. Soldier Mountain has a base elevation of 5,752 ft. and a top elevation of 7,177 ft. for a total vertical rise of 1,425 ft. covering 1150 acres of variable terrain including glades, bowls, and tree skiing. In addition Soldier Mountain has over 15 runs regularly groomed with the best grooming you will find in the Northwest. When you need a break we have a full service cafeteria style restaurant and lounge serving beer, wine, and good times.

Soldier Mountain is located 70 miles north of Twin Falls, 55 miles northeast of Mountain Home, and 50 miles southwest of downtown Hailey, just 12 miles north of Fairfield off of Highway 20 in the beautiful Sawtooth National Forest.

Soldier Mountain is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m every Thursday through Sunday. We will have extended operations during the Christmas Holiday.
